eFOLDi Scooters FAQs

The main benefit of eFOLDi folding mobility scooters is that they are extremely lightweight. We've gone above and beyond to engineer folding mobility scooters that are lightweight but durable and safe at the same time. We have two types of folding mobility scooters: eFOLDi Lite and eFOLDi MK1.5 Scooter, which differ in terms of weight and functions, depending on what you are looking for.

Our folding mobility scooters are also compact, saving a lot of space. Folding up like a suitcase means they can be easily stored at home or in any car, and you can comfortably take them on public transport, cruises and flights.

Another benefit of eFOLDi folding mobility scooter is that the advanced Lithium-ion battery technology gives it long life.

Our mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs can be folded down in seconds. It's very simple to do and we provide every product with a clear instruction manual to show people exactly how this can be done.

The frames of our folding mobility scooters are made from aluminium and magnesium alloys, which are very strong and durable when looked after well. Our first eFOLDi mobility scooter was built in 2012 and is still on the road.

Yes, eFOLDi folding mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs can be ridden or carried on public transport, on cruises or flights. For flying, you are able to ride the scooter all the way up to the cabin door, whereby the scooter can be folded and placed in the hold for the journey. When exiting the plane, it can be unfolded and ridden straight from the plane to the airport terminal.

Yes, our folding mobility scooters are allowed in shops of all kinds. Their purpose is to make people's lives easier and go places they need to, so you will not be restricted from doing your normal day-to-day activities. If you'd prefer to fold up the scooter for when you go shopping, this can absolutely be done.

Our folding mobility scooters use Lithium-ion batteries, and when taken care of properly they can last more than 5 years. It's also important to ensure that the mobility scooter is charged every 2-3 months when it may not be used as much.

"What impressed me the most was how easy it was to fold eFOLDi to a suitcase shape and just drag it wherever you go."

Life is full of

"eFOLDi is the surprising story of how two unfortunate events led to the creation of a multi-award-winning product and the start of a fantastic journey. eFOLDi is the brainchild of my father, Jianmin Wang, who worked as Technical Director of the Chinese Acrobatic Troupe for more than 30 years. His creations brought joy to millions, and his designs have won many international competitions and awards.

The first event happened in 2012, when my dad fell off the stage." - Sumi Wang CEO & Founder
