British mobility brand eFOLDi has introduced a new accessory option for its Navigator powerchair, the eFOLDi Navigator Attendant Height Extension Bar. Designed to make guiding and manoeuvring the Navigator more comfortable for taller carers and attendants, the new Attendant Height Extension Bar raises the height of the Navigator’s handles to create a more natural, ergonomic hand position when driving the chair from behind.
With three adjustable height levels, attendants can quickly set the bar to match their height and preferred driving position, encouraging a more upright stance and helping to reduce strain on their back, shoulders and wrists, particularly over longer journeys or prolonged periods of use. The Navigator’s existing moveable attendant control attaches directly to the extension bar and operates exactly as it would without the accessory, ensuring the chair remains easy to use with no compromise in responsiveness or control.
“We know that carers and family members come in all shapes and sizes, and we wanted to make sure the Navigator works just as comfortably for them as it does for the person using the chair,” said Andrea Flynn, Product Marketing Manager at eFOLDi. “The Navigator Attendant Height Extension Bar offers a simple way to improve comfort and control for taller attendants who are supporting loved ones or clients every day.”
Available as an optional accessory when specifying a new Navigator powerchair, the Attendant Height Extension Bar integrates neatly with the chair’s overall design whilst supporting a more relaxed, confident driving experience for carers and family members alike. By considering the comfort of both the attendant and Navigator user, the new accessory underlines eFOLDi’s commitment to making everyday mobility easier and more comfortable for everyone.
The eFOLDi Navigator Attendant Height Extension Bar is available on new Navigator powerchair orders with an RRP of £50.
